Are You Intentional Enough In Your Work?

by | Nov 1, 2022

I am excited to kick off our next four-part series called Be Intentional. We will look at how you can Be Intentional in your Mental, Emotional,  Physical, and your Spiritually Fit Room.

If you don’t already have a copy of The Seat Of The Soul by Gary Zukav, I recommend you pick one up. There is one line that he says that really stands out for me. It might be common sense but to me, it is so powerful.

“You create your reality with your intention.”

Think about that. The next time you are about to walk into a meeting, the next time you are going to interact with someone, take a 10-second pause, take a deep breath, and ask yourself:

What is my intention here? What do I want to experience? How do I bring my best self forward?

You may not like the situation but you want to like yourself in the situation. This would apply if you need to have a difficult conversation, set a boundary, or own your power.

Whatever it might be, you need to think intentionally. That is the starting point. I would love for you, in every interaction over the next 21 days, to allow yourself to take that 10-second pause, take that breath, and ask yourself:

What is it I am intending to experience here?

How can I come from love? How can I come from compassion? Is my intention to have clarity? Is it to have consequences sprinkled in with loads of compassion and kindness?

I’d love for you to share this with your team. Ask them each time that they are bringing something up at a team meeting what is their intention or purpose for this? It is a great way to make sure they have given it some thought and are focused on the solution versus the problem.

It is so easy to just throw things out on the table but they need to step back and say this is my intention. This is what is best for our clients, our patients, or our customers.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Remember, you are a POWERHOUSE!

BE more kind to yourself.
BE more loving & compassionate.
