Are You Just Trying To Get Through What You Are Trying To Get Through?

by | Sep 1, 2021

How did last week go? Were you able to release some of the stress that triggers Survival Mode by paying attention in your Physically Fit Room?

This is the last in my 4 part series on Survival Mode. Today, we are heading into our Spiritually Fit Room.

When we are in Survival Mode, we are just trying to get through what we are trying to get through. The best way to do that when we are in our Spiritually Fit Room is to take our 10-second pause and realize that while there is a dark side to life right now, there is also a light side. We need to focus and be our best selves in the light and embrace our strengths.

It is so much easier to get swallowed up by the dark side which means that we may not be responding to things in the best possible way. During these times, I cannot stress enough how important it is to BE KIND TO YOURSELF!

We’ve never been in a pandemic before and even though it feels like we’ve been in this one forever, it is still all very new for us. We need to remind ourselves that we doing the very best that we can with what we have.

As you take stock in your Spiritually Fit Room, do you notice that:

  • Your joy has been dialed down?
  • Your sense of connection to others has been dialed down?

If you have, then I invite you to do one activity this week that will refill your cup.

For example, you could call a friend and suggest that you:

  • get together for a tea by the water
  • have a coffee date over Zoom
  • visit the patio of your favorite restaurant for a bite to eat

Maintaining these connections is so important when it comes to taking back our power with love and kindness.

We need to turn up the volume in our joy. We need to turn up the volume in being able to pour into our spirits during this unprecedented time.

I’d love to hear from you to know what you are doing to fill your spiritual cup while in Survival Mode. Send me an email ([email protected]) and let me know.

BE more kind to yourself.
BE more compassionate.
Be more forgiving.
Be more loving.

Remember, you are a Powerhouse.

Wishing you a powerful week.
