Are You Ready To Stop Robbing Yourself Of Your Joy?

by | Oct 26, 2022

This week is the final installment of this month’s four-part series The Power Of Letting Go.

You’ve already looked at letting go in both your Mentally Fit Room, your Emotionally Fit Room, and your Physically Fit Room so now it’s time to check in with your Spiritually Fit Room. The question to ask yourself is:

What is it that I need to let go of that is not serving me well?

If you aren’t making sure that you are being kind to yourself, what tends to happen is that other people pay for it.

Part of checking in with your Spiritually Fit Room is asking yourself questions like

Where am I pushing myself too hard?
Where am I expecting unrealistic expectations from myself?
Where am I treating myself like a work mule?

Sometimes it is easy to get so focused on what you are doing that you lose sight of the fact that you haven’t gotten up at stretched recently, Even worse, sometimes your blinders are so engaged that you all of a sudden realize that you feel as though the joy has been sucked out of you.

If you don’t pour into yourself, you can only give to others for so long. Sometimes it is accidental that we can pour into others but if you are consistently not being compassionate and kind to yourself, your spirit will be robbed of the joy that every human being is entitled to.

What’s one thing in your Spiritually Fit Room that is not serving you well that you are going to let go of?

Maybe it’s that you’ve been obsessively thinking about someone or doing for others when what you really need to be doing is something kind for yourself. I am a huge fan of service as long as it means you are not sacrificing YOU.

What is it that you are going to let go of that’s going to let your Spirit shine? That will let you experience the joy and the happiness within you that you are entitled to.

We know that joy is an inside job, and happiness is an inside job. If you are so busy giving to everyone else, then maybe that is something you need to let go of. Maybe it’s time to let of go of trying to be all things to all people.

Be sure to share with your team, your family, and with us what you choose to let go of.

Remember, you are a POWERHOUSE!

BE more kind to yourself.
BE more loving & compassionate.
