Do You Build Time Into Your Schedule To Physically Release Stress?

by | Oct 18, 2022

This week we are continuing with our four-part series The Power Of Letting Go. I know. It sounds so easy, doesn’t it?

You’ve already looked at letting go in both your Mentally Fit Room and your Emotionally Fit Room so now it’s time to check in with your Physically Fit Room.

What is it that you need to let go of physically?

I’m a huge fan of healthy habits. I’ve got this one leader that I’ve been coaching for awhile and I’m super impressed that she goes for a walk every single morning with her husband. It becomes an excellent opportunity for them to get some exercise while sharing quality time together. She now hits her home gym before they walk. Research tells us when you marry a new habit with an existing one, you are more likely to do it on a consistent basis.

Right now, if you are not in the habit of releasing stress from your body, I strongly recommend that you do.

The ache you feel in your neck isn’t just from looking down at your technology. The pain in your lower back isn’t just because you are sitting for too long. It’s  also because you need to find that healthy release. Whether you are a morning person who likes to get your workout done while you combine it with watching something inspirational by folks like Tony Robbins,  Jack Canfield or Brene Brown.

I want you to be thinking about how you are going to physically let go of stress daily over the next month. Is it by building into your schedule time for exercise? Maybe walk with your four legged baby or another member of the household? Will you do it first thing in the morning? Your lunch break? After dinner? Regardless of what you choose to do or when you choose to do it, it MUST be a good fit for you. It must help you to release stress and not create more of it.

I invite you to share this with your team. It would make a great opener for your next team meeting. Ask your team “What’s one thing that you are going to do that is going to help you to physically release the stress from your day.” Hearing what other team members are sharing will both inspire and breathe in accountability.

Be sure to share with your team,  family &  us what physical release exercise you choose.

Remember, you are a POWERHOUSE!

BE more kind to yourself.
BE more loving & compassionate.
