What Do You Want To Feel During The Holidays?

by | Dec 13, 2022

This week we are in your second room, your Emotionally Fit Room.

Keeping with this month’s theme of Self Care. You know that I’m all about the steps to self care and about asking yourself:

Where am I on the steps to self care? What is it that I need in order for me to experience the joy, peace, love, and connection of the Holiday Season?

My invitation to you is to ask yourself:

What do I want to experience over this time?

It is a very full time for a lot of people. There are a lot of extras right now: extra pressures, extra things to be done, extra places to go, and extra gifts and cares to buy.

It is a great time to ask yourself:

How can I simplify my life?

If when setting your intention in your Emotionally Fit Room for the upcoming season, you decide that you want to experience peace and connection over the holidays, how can you simplify that? Maybe it is about letting go of some old ways that haven’t served you well but you never thought you had the choice.

I think it is important that we take the time and think about and ask

What do I want to feel during this holiday?

For me, I want to feel peaceful. I want to feel connected. I want to experience playfulness. And great food! I want to be able to remember why the season is here.

However, if I am keeping all kinds of responsibilities on myself, then it is being a joy sucker.

So, if for you, you want to experience that joy and that peace, and you want to feel what the holidays are all about, ask yourself:

What will I do differently to get a different result?

I’d love for you to share this with your team. I think that as leaders and as team members, it is just so easy to forget that you have a choice and that you get to be clear as to what it is you want to feel.

Have yourself a lovely day and remember, you are a POWERHOUSE!
