Two Ways You Can Use Your Body To Protect Your Peace

by | Feb 9, 2022

It’s hard to believe we are already on Week 3 of Protect Your Peace. Now it’s time to enter your Physically Fit Room.

You know that in order to have that peaceful sense of your body, that peaceful sense of your mind, you need to release the stress in your life.

You need to commit to moving your body every single day.

For me, I know that getting up and hopping on to a virtual workout with the YMCA is the best way possible to physically start my day. By the time I’m done with my workout, I feel a sense of peace, a sense of focus, and a sense of confidence within myself.

Coupled with moving your body, think about your workspace. How best can you support your body during the day? Simple things like having a basket of fruit or containers of healthy water on your desk or nearby.

I encourage you to do not only meal prep but also snack prep. My assistant Liz was telling me that as soon as she comes home from grocery shopping, she and her daughter peel, chop, and package all of the fruits and veggies into grab-and-go snacks for herself and her family. It is such a time saver during the week plus she uses the time as an opportunity to connect meaningfully with her daughter.

Fueling your body with healthy snacks combined with stretches and moving your body throughout the day will make your body feel amazing which will also then impact your brain. Those are healthy habits that will definitely Protect Your Peace.

I’d love to hear what you plan on doing in your Physically Fit Room to both move and feed your body. Maybe you could come up with some sort of healthy challenge or activity to do with your team or a group of friends? Share this with them and see what they think.

Remember, you are a POWERHOUSE.

BE more kind to yourself.
BE more compassionate.
Be more forgiving.
Be more loving.

Wishing you a powerful week.
