Acknowledging Your Successes Acknowledges That You Are Worthy Now

by | Jan 24, 2023

We are in the final week of our 4 part “Worthy Now” series for this month.

What is so important, whether you are a leader or a team member, is to celebrate your successes. It is incredibly easy to be so focused on what is coming up next that you forget about being in the precious present and celebrating the cool stuff you have accomplished.

I invite you to:

Write down 3 things you are most proud of having accomplished

This is a great team exercise. It is so easy to lose your confidence and feel like there is so much more for you to do. Taking time to celebrate your accomplishments is the best way to build your Success Muscle because it allows you to focus on what you want more of.

As a leader or as a team member, if you want more success, if you want to feel like you’ve achieved more, or if you want to step out of your comfort zone and feel comfortable being uncomfortable, you need to really pay attention to what you’ve already accomplished.

In one of the leadership retreat programs that I’ve developed, I talk about having a “Success Journal” and acknowledging by writing down the things that you’ve accomplished.

Wouldn’t it be a great opener for your next team or staff meeting if you kicked things off by asking everyone to write down one thing that they are really, really proud of having accomplished and then share it among the group? This exercise is a great way of shifting the focus from feeling like “human doers” to feeling like “human beings”.

If you are looking through the lens of WORTHY NOW and focusing on your own successes, you will spend less time comparing yourself to everyone else. That is a game changer.

If you are looking through the lens of WORTHY NOW, anything and everything is possible. However, in order for that to happen, you need to be acknowledging what you’ve accomplished to date. Doing that will create beautiful momentum.

I invite you to take a few minutes to watch the video below. In it, you will find some examples of things you might have accomplished that you should be very proud of that you might not even realize are accomplishments.

I’d love to hear what successes you are celebrating today!
