Does it feel like your mind has been taken over by a ticker tape of negative thoughts? Do you just keep thinking the same gloomy things over and over again? That is a definite sign of a MENTAL HANGOVER.
While a physical hangover is caused by ingesting garbage into our bodies and an emotional hangover comes from not allowing yourself to let go of past actions, a mental hangover is caused by not releasing garbage from our minds.
The next time that train of negative thoughts starts up I invite you to ask yourself:
“Is this thought HELPING me or HARMING me?”
If it’s harming you, I also invite you to take these 3 steps:
- Take the 10 seconds
- Take a deep breath
- Take a DO-OVER
Don’t ever forget that you can take a do-over any time!
