There may be conflicting dates as to when the first International Women’s Day took place, but it is safe to say that this amazing day has been marking calendars for well over 100 years!
The IWD movement was born from labor movements in North America and Europe in the early 1900’s. Since then, it has been adopted on a global scale and annually shines a light on issues such as equality and gender bias while celebrating and promoting the achievements of women.
Through my work as a resilience coach and a public speaker, I am blessed to cross paths with Powerhouse Women every single day. These women are often suffering from burnout and many are exhausted from juggling their leadership roles both in the office and at home.
While these women come to me looking for help, little do they know how much they in fact help me! Their endless displays of resilience, courage, and confidence inspire me every single day. It fills my cup to watch a woman realize that she is indeed a POWERHOUSE and that she is rocking life.
This month, our four-part series will pay homage to four women who define the term POWERHOUSE. These women are the leaders who inspire women, young and old, every day. I can’t wait to share with you a real Powerhouse of Resilience next week!
March is a month we will spend celebrating women. I invite you as leaders, to take a few minutes out of your day to hype up the Powerhouses on your team and to thank them for bringing their best selves to the office each and every day.
On that note, here is a reminder from me to you:
You are ROCKING it as a leader.
You are ROCKING it as a team member
You are ROCKING it as a mother, daughter, wife, sister, and friend
You are ROCKING it as a POWERHOUSE
You are ROCKING it as YOU
Thank you for including me as a part of your Powerful Journey.
Have a beautiful day!
